Tennis Instructors 2016

 

Director Of Tennis: Steven Levine

 

Steve is a Cincinnati native and played number 1 singles for Wyoming High school and was voted to the high school all-star team. Steve played Division 1 tennis for the University of Miami Florida and then finished up at the University of Cincinnati playing both singles and doubles. Steve is a Cincinnati Met Doubles champion and trained at the prestigious Harry Hopman and Nick Bollitieri Tennis acadamies. Steve has been a teaching professional at many clubs such as Queen city, Eastern Hills, Cincinnati Tennis Club, Sawyer point and currently Harpers Point in the winter.

 

Steve is also currently the Head Boys and Girls Coach for Walnut Hills High School where he has been voted Coach of the year three times and led the Eagles to three championships. Steve has coached Touring pros, College players, nationally ranked junior players as well as adults and kids of all ages.

Assistant Tennis Pro - Alexander Warstler

 

Alexander has taught the past three summers at Terrace Park.  He is the #1 player at Indian Hill High school posting a 49-15 record through his junior year.  He has been the CHL Player of the Year and the teams MVP all three years.  He is a first team singles member of the Greater Cincinnati Tennis Coaches Association. 

 

Following in his mom's footsteps, Alexander will play Division I tennis at Marquette University next fall and will be enrolled in their 6-year Doctorate Physical Therapy Program.  He is ranked 4th in the State, ranked top 25 in the Midwest and has been ranked as high as 175 in the nation. 

 

Alexander is also a Sportsmanship Award winner and a Scholar-Athlete.  He has trained with top touring pros and brings a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm to the court.

Assistant Tennis Pro - Meredith Breda

 

Meredith Breda is a 2016 graduate of Indian Hill High School. She has been playing tennis competitively and training at Queen City Racquet Club since the age of 10. 

 

Meredith was consistently ranked in the top 100 players of the Midwest Section for every age group she participated in during her 8 years as a USTA junior competitor.

 

 

At Indian Hill High School, Meredith played #1 singles and doubles, was co-captain of the team, twice named Most Valuable Player as well as The Cincinnati Enquirer’s Division II Player of the Year in 2015 & 2016. She helped lead the team to three appearances in the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association (OTCA) team championships in 2012, 2013 and 2015.  She was a three time Southwest Ohio District Champion in D-II Doubles with her partner Caroline Andersen and in 2015 the duo won the OHSAA State Championship in D-II Doubles.  

 

In addition to tennis, Meredith has enjoyed performing on stage and was very involved in IHHS. She was a member of the Premieres show choir and was cast in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Pippin, Fiddler on The Roof, Once on This Island and Oklahoma. Meredith was an AP Scholar, Trained Student Leader and in National Honor Society, Indian Hill Television Network, Key Club and Co-President of French Club. Meredith signed to play tennis for DePauw University lady Tigers this fall and was also accepted into the school’s Media Fellows Honors Program.
